Another child was killed by hunger

Few days ago a 1 year old child died from hunger in my country. Parents were unemployed and couldn't afford to feed their children well. We don't get unemployment benefits in my country, there are only benefits for extremely poor families and even that is very little. This family applied for those benefits lots of times and all of the times government rejected them.
Now that the poor child is dead, government blames the parents. Ok, parents are guilty for not thinking that if they can't afford condoms, there is no way they can afford another baby. But I also don't see the government giving a fuck to any of those problems. I've seen those benefits going to the families where everyone is working, or to those who have some 'friends' in the ministries.
Everyone knows that the government gives some finances to the church (not just some but 3 millions). I don't see church doing anything useful with that money. What I see are bunch of priests in expensive cars, holding very expensive phones, carrying golden crosses and golden chains and being very fat. They might say that they use the money to build churches, as if that could do a miracle and feed the poor itself.
I know that the church has bunch of businesses, free from taxes. Their product costs more than ordinary products. And the same church tells me that they care about people? Well I see everyone around cares a lot about freeing people's souls from their bodies.
An average of 300 children (age 0-5) die every year because of lack of necessary nutrition. We don't even know about those cases, no one talks about that, no one cares probably.
Out country is a third world country. Our government tries to convince everyone else that we're next to first world. Sometimes we, people living in the capital, forget about it as we're surrounded by rich people. Sometimes we just think, that everything is ok, it's just our family that is poor, and most of our relatives too, but it's just probably us.
I feel sick and ashamed for myself, my government, the church in which most of people here believe.

Child abuse

I live in a country where child abuse is still a big issue.
I guess the main reason is that having children is like an obbligation in most of the families. If you don't get pregnant in first few months (1-3) of marriage people get suspicious that you're infertile (of course the woman is the one who's infertile, man is always fertile) and the husband's family doesn't like you or respect you. I'm talking about most of the cases, of course, it doesn't apply to all.
So woman take responsability of having children too early and they imagine it mostly like a game I guess and have no idea at all what it means to raise a child. They imagine it's most about feeding and taking them to school and in case if they missbehave - yelling or beating, of course. Most of people think it's normal, but hey, they've been raised like that themselves.
Now the bigger issue here is that the society doesn't take responsability. It's mostly like: "Her family, her problems". This goes on even after the story, when a woman killed her own son beating him with a piece of wood few years back. Everyone knew she was beating him up every day but said nothing. And when the kid died they felt no responsability for it at all.
You can see parent like that even in the streets. Yelling at their children something like 'I hate you' or 'You're a bad son' or hitting them.
I just can't resist watching that so yesterday when I saw another mother like that I told her that she should be ashamed and she should be sued and stuff. She just looked at me for a second, then ignored me and went on. I don't know who she is and where she lives and I can do nothing about it and the wors part is that no one who knows it all will do nothing. There were bunch of other people when I was talking to her. No one even cared that she was hitting and screaming at her kid and no one cared about his cries.

Who here is not an attention seeking whore?

People are talking about so called 'attention seeking whores' on the internet. I think think it's not about seeking attention, but how you seek attention.
You see, it is perfectly natural for people to try different ways to get some attention and approval from other members of society. The reason of not being so can be psychology disorder or something, just believe me, the cases are extremely rare. There is no 'I don't care what others say/think' so stop pretending you're different (there's also another thing in human psychology - people tend to be alike, but pretend/believe they are different).
Now, why are those so called 'attention seeking whores' different from normal people? It's the lever of desperateness that makes those people so annoying. The more someone is desperate, the more they try to get attention.
Being an annoying kind of attention seeking whore is normal with teenagers (they go through lots of changes, feel insicure and so on) so I can stand that (barely). But I really have problem with grown ups. It's really wrong of me to judge someone when I know well, that everything has it's own reason. But hey, I'm a human.
